Archaeologists use waste left by civilizations to figure out how they lived. They pore through bones, pots, and other residual materials to figure out what the civilization was like. What you throw out is reflective of what type of society you had. I wonder what archaeologists will think of us in a thousand years time as they dig through our landfills? One thing they will notice is how the waste we disposed of changed rapidly over the last 30 to 50 years as new products entered the market and our lifestyles changed.
