HOW HONG KONG USES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO OPTIMIZE RAIL ENGINEERING WORK

Hong Kong has one of the busiest rail systems in the world, carrying over 5.2 million passengers on an average weekday. The MTR Corp Ltd is the company that operates and manages all the subway, commuter rail, and light rail lines in Hong Kong; the Government owns 76% of its shares. MTR operates 10 heavy rail lines (6 urban rapid transit lines, 3 commuter lines, and the Airport Express) and 12 light rail lines. This represents a total of 218.2 km (135.6 mi) of route length with 152 stations: 84 heavy rail stations and 68 light rail stops. The MTR also owns the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, the longest bi-cable ropeway in Asia.
