Congratulations to the winners!

The three most open cities in Canada were presented with awards at the 2017 Canadian Open Data Summit in Edmonton on June 13th. With open data leaders,  practitioners, entrepreneus and enthusiasts from across Canada in attendance, PSD and its partner ODX presented Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal with awards  for their respective top three rankings in the 2016 Open Cities Index.

The City of Mississauga was presented with the "Most Improved" award for rising the most in the 2016 OCI ranking, climbing 25 positions from their 2015 standing. Strathcona County was presented with the "Small Community", Big Impact" award for achieving the highest ranking (6th) in the 2016 results for a community under 100,000 population.
